SoftPay Global is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and sanctions evasion. This policy summarises the customer due diligence and monitoring controls we apply to remittance services.
We identify and verify customers before allowing them to send money. Depending on risk, this may include government-issued photo ID, proof of address, business documents, source-of-funds evidence and the purpose of the transfer.
We collect recipient information required for payout and for transparency of the payment chain.
Customers, related parties and, where appropriate, recipients may be screened against sanctions lists and other watchlists. Transactions are monitored for unusual patterns, structuring, or activity inconsistent with the customer profile.
Send limits, delivery-method restrictions and enhanced due diligence apply to higher-risk customers, corridors or transaction types. We may refuse a relationship or a transfer that falls outside our risk appetite.
We retain identification and transaction records for the period required by applicable AML/CFT rules. We file reports with competent authorities where required by law and will not tip off a person who is the subject of a suspicion.
Staff and agents are expected to follow these controls. Payout partners are selected with regard to their ability to apply comparable standards in the receiving country.
